Match Preview - Grangetown Boys Club (A) - Ebac Northern League Division 2 - Saturday 3rd January 2026 - Kick-Off 15:00pm

by Jeff King

After a fantastic calendar year in 2025 Park View AFC begin 2026 on the road down in Teesside at The B&W Lifting Stadium Grangetown. They will take on The Boys Club or 'Boysie' as they are nicknamed.

Boysie have had a tough season so far but are beginning to find some more consistency in their play and have picked up enough points recently to just about keep them out of the relegation zone.

They sit 12th in the form table and have won 2 drawn 2 and lost 2 in their last six fixtures. Overall they sit 19th in the Division having 5 wins 7 draws and 15 defeats from their 27 games giving them 22 points.

Goals wise they have scored 31 times in the league and conceded 56. Joe Dixon was their top scorer with 10 but he has now moved on to Northallerton Town. That leaves James O'Brien as their leading marksman with 5 to his credit.

The two sides met way, way back last year on 6th August when Park View recorded an impressive 6 - 2 win. Nathan Conroy notched a hat-trick with PV's other goals from Charlie Loveday, Brandon Young and Stephen Siyanbola.

Park View are currently on a tremendous run of form and seven league wins in a row including five clean sheets have seen them move up to fourth in the divisional standings and not surprisingly top of the form table.

They now have 53 points from their 26 games with 16 wins 5 draws and 5 losses. They have scored 44 goals with Siyanbola being top scorer on 9. They have only conceded 19 which is the best in the league and includes 14 clean sheets.

So, one team looking for revenge and a chance to move away from the bottom. The other looking for a double in the league and to keep their impressive recent form and promotion push going. Kick-off on Saturday afternoon is at 15:00pm.
