Going into the second week of the League season and after only two games played four teams had a 100% record. One of those, Redcar Town, put their record on the line at Sunderland West End on Friday night.

Park View AFC are one of the other three teams that look to make it three wins from three games. On Saturday they face the 'other' new team in the Division, Durham United the 2024/25 Wearside League Premier Division Champions.

It's a third road trip in a row for the Park View lads as they look to build on their 2 - 1 win at 'other' new boys AFC Newbiggin and the very impressive 2 - 0 win they picked up at Jarrow FC on Wednesday night.

Durham United have not made the best of starts. They lost 4 - 3 at home against Boldon CA last Saturday and then lost 4 - 0 away at Alnwick Town. They are therefore dangerous opponents as they look for their first point or even win.

Last season under the stewardship of Adam Furness and Cameron Bhamra, and in partnership with Durham University Men’s Football Club, the men’s first team stormed the Wearside Premier Division clinching the title in March.

They capped off an exceptional season with a memorable 5–2 victory over Durham Corinthians in the Alan Hood Charity Cup, securing a stunning league and cup double.

Against Boldon CA all three goals came from centre forward Phil Kay so clearly he's a man to watch for the Park View defence. The side is captained by Oliver Williams who is also the Club Secretary, a busy boy.

Park View are boosted to the return to the squad of Harvey Lawrence, Alex Clark and Riley Everett although Shay Pye will be missing as he starts a 3-match suspension following his sending-off at Newbiggin.

Nathan Conroy will be looking to make it three goals in three games and add to the two winning goals he's notched so far. Charlie Loveday and Brandon Young the other Park View scorers this season.

Mickey Barron will once again take charge of the team with Micky Nelson still on his international scouting mission in Zante. The game will be played at the famous Durham University Sporting Complex, Maiden Castle on a 3G surface.
