Park View AFC's last game of the regular season and with the way the League table is looking at the moment probably their last game of the whole season. It seems that their hopes of a second successive play-off place is all but over.
With Redcar Town, Yarm & Eaglescliffe and Jarrow already guaranteed at least a play-off place it would seemingly take a catastrophe for Seaham Red Star and FC Hartlepool not to fill the other two coveted positions.
Park View's 1-0 home defeat in the derby against Chester Town and midweek results dropping them down to sixth place in the table. Still a good season but one where objectives were not or seemingly were not achieved.
Their last game of the season takes them to the Sovereign Supply Chain Stadium to face 12th placed Billingham Town. A solid outfit that are always difficult to beat.
Town have 15 wins 6 draws and 18 losses in their 39 games so far giving them 51 points. They have scored a healthy 68 goals but have also conceded 65. Top scorer for Town is Charlie Watt with 15 league goals whilst Gary Mitchell has 13.
Just last week they lost their Manager Jamie Poole who stepped down with immediate effect. Senior players Matthew Robinson and Liam Southall have been asked to take the team to the end of the season.
Town come into the game on the back of a poor run one win and a draw with currently four defeats in a row in their last six games. They are though finishing the season with three games at their home ground so are looking to improve.
For Park View AFC last week's derby loss meant a 10th defeat of the campaign. They have 21 wins and 10 draws as well to give them 73 points from their 41 games played.
Goals scored is probably their downfall with only 57 netted in those 41 games although defensively they have been superb and only conceded 34 which at the moment is a league equalling best alongside Redcar and Yarm.
Stephen Siyanbola is their top scorer with 12 goals and Charlie Loveday has 8 but their total of 57 is only the 15th best in the Division. Clearly firepower or the inability to turn possession and chances into goals has cost them.
The first fixture between these two sides saw Park View take a 1-0 home win at The Riverside thanks to Jamie Frizzel's 72nd minute goal. Reyhan Grimaud of PV and Charlie Watt of Town both seeing red cards in separate incidents late on.
This could be a game where one or two or more of Park View's 'senior' players make their last appearance at The Club. So, they will be keen to go out with a win that would at least guarantee them a sixth-placed finish for the season.
