Match Preview - Yarm & Eaglescliffe (H) - Ebac Northern League Division 2 - Saturday 7th March 2026 - Kick-off 15:00pm

A huge game in the play-ff and promotion race takes place at The Riverside on Saturday afternoon. Second placed Yarm & Eaglescliffe are the visitors to take on fifth placed Park View AFC.

The two sides met back on the 27th of September last year at Yarm's 'home' ground of Billingham Town. It was stalemate when the game ticked into injury time. Then the Y&E stunned PV with two late, late goals to take all three points.

Yarm who are also second top of the form table with four wins and two draws from their last six fixtures will naturally be looking for a repeat of that score line to further their promotion hopes.

Meanwhile Park View with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six games really need a win to keep them in the play-off places. They also need to find a bit more consistency to test a tough Yarm outfit.

Yarm have 68 points from 32 games with 21 wins 5 draws and 6 defeats scoring an impressive 67 goals and only conceding 30. A record that sees them comfortably in second with, they believe, Redcar Town still in their sights.

Their top scorer is also the Division's top scorer and was last season's Golden Boot winner. Tom Atkinson has 24 league goals so far this campaign. They have plenty of other firepower to back him up as well.

Last season's second top scorer Josh Larkin has just returned from long-term injury and already has 6 goals in the last 6 games whilst Joe Dalton and Josh Marshall have 7 each.

Park View who have 61 points from 33 games made up of 18 wins 7 draws and 8 defeats are in a terrific scrap with Chester-le-Street Town, FC Hartlepool and Seaham Red Star for fourth and fifth place.

Town currently occupying fourth but only on goal difference and having played a game more. Seaham and FC Hartlepool only one point behind the two Chester-le-Street based sides in sixth and seventh.

Park View are delighted to have top scorer Stephen Siyanbola back in their ranks. His brace last week taking him to 12 for the season whilst Charlie Loveday is on 7 so far. Park View scoring 49 in total but only having conceded 28.

That's the best defensive record in the league and includes 16 clean sheets. Very much the platform that their play-off push is built upon as they look to make the end of season games for the second season in a row.

It promises to be a very big and well contested game that both sides are desperate to win. Kick-off at The Riverside for a much anticipated clash is at 3:00pm.
