Match Preview - Redcar Town (H) - Ebac Northern League Division 2 - Saturday 24th January 2026 - Kick-Off 15:00pm

Weather permitting it's the league leading Redcar Town who arrive at The Riverside on Saturday for a crucial clash in the Ebac Northern League Division 2. Both sides coming into the game looking for and perhaps needing a win.

Redcar Town after looking to be cruising at the top of the table for so long. A 1-0 defeat at Jarrow followed that with a 3-2 home loss to Alnwick Town to, they hope temporarily derail their march to the title.

They are still top of the pile and have a five-point lead prior to kick-off over all their rivals. A cushion they'll be glad to have after their last week or so. They have currently played 26 games winning 19 drawing 3 and losing 4 for 60 points.

They have scored 57 times in the league. Kyran Clark their top scorer with 22 goals also leads the Division scorers. Kieran Stares has 12 league goals, 11 from his time at Billingham Town. Kayden Robinson-Coley has 8 in the league as well.

Back at the beginning of September the two sides met in Redcar. Town had scored in every one of their first 11 games. But Park View became the first side to stop them scoring and came away with a well-earned point in a 0 – 0 draw.

For Park View a defeat in the League Cup to West Auckland has been followed by successive league defeats. A tough 1 – 0 loss to Ryton last weekend was followed by a very, very disappointing 3 – 0 defeat at Grangetown on Tuesday.

That ended a run where they had won seven straight in the league. Had they made that nine in a row this game would have been top versus second such can be the margins between defeat and victory.

Stephen Siyanbola with nine goals still leads Park View's scoring with Charlie Loveday on seven. Both haven't netted for a few games recently and will be hoping to rediscover that scoring touch to help fire their team to victory.

It means that Park View are just outside the play-off positions at the moment in seventh but with games in hand on those above them. If they could get back to winning ways on Saturday it could well take them back where they want to be.
