Another huge game at The Riverside on Saturday as 6th placed Park View AFC taken on 7th placed Jarrow in a much anticipated clash. A win for either side will take them into the playoff positions whilst even a draw may be enough for PV.

That's because the side currently sitting in 5th, Chester-le-Street Town who have already played more games than Saturday's combatants are not playing this weekend.

However, Alnwick Town are and should Park View and Jarrow finish all-square with a point a-piece and Alnwick beat bottom club Billingham Synthonia it would be all three times leap frogging Chester with Alnwick taking 5th.

Park View come into the game on the back of successive home wins. Last weekend they beat Billingham Town 1 - 0 and then 48 hours later AFC Newbiggin 3 - 1 moving them up to 6th place.

Jarrow meanwhile are on a terrific run. Five wins and one draw in their last six League games. Plus in midweek they saw off high-ranked Bishop Auckland 2 - 1 in the Durham County FA Frank Pattison Challenge Cup.

The two sides met way back in July at Perth Green on Matchday 2. On that occasion Park View came away from Jarrow with an excellent 2 - 0 win thanks to goals from Brandon Young and Nathan Conroy.

PV will be striving to complete their second League double of the season after completing that feat with their 3 - 1 win over Newbiggin. Jarrow meanwhile will be looking for revenge and to keep their excellent League form going.

Both sides have mean defences PV only conceding 18 League goals and Jarrow 20. The visitors may, on paper, carry the greater goal threat as they have netted 37 so far spread across the side, but PV also have talented attacking players.

It all adds up to what should be a mouth-watering intriguing attractive encounter that gets underway at The Riverside on Saturday at 3:00pm.
