Two teams that met not that long ago! Two teams that won their opening league fixture of the season last Saturday. Two teams that are amongst the favourites to be leading lights in the Division this season.

All roads on Wednesday lead to Perth Green CA for a much-anticipated clash that even this early could say a lot about how the season is going to go. There's no doubting both teams ambitions and hoped for destinies.

Back in May these two sides clashed in the End of Season Play-Off Semi-Final at the same venue and after 90 minutes couldn't be separated. The game ending 0 - 0 with Jarrow going through on penalties.

Dejection and disappointment for the then Chester-le-Street United. Jarrow marched on only to lose out on promotion to Thornaby in the Play-Off Final also on penalties. So, ultimately dejection and disappointment for both.

But that now is in the past and all that matters is the future. Jarrow got a smell of the First Division and that is very much their aim this campaign. They've gone big and recruited well in the summer and look very strong.

Both new strikers Jay Bates with a brace and Azza Jackson got on the score-sheet last Saturday on competitive debut. One of the League's star young players Ryan Hardie netting the other in a 4 - 3 win over Alnwick Town.

Jarrow were actually 3 - 0 in the first half before having Josh Leonard sent off on the stroke of half-time. They then had to weather a real storm from Alnwick before finally getting over the line and taking all three points.

For Park View it was a 2 - 1 away win at AFC Newbiggin with an early Charlie Loveday and a last gasp winner in injury time from Nathan Conroy. 16-year-old Shay Pye lasting only 7 minutes on debut being unluckily sent-off after coming on as a substitute.

So, two teams with a win first out and two teams looking to continue that in what should be a great game of Ebac Northern League Division 2 football. See you all there!
