Hopefully at the third time of asking Park View AFC will finally get to visit the B & W Lifting Stadium, Grangetown, Middlesbrough on Tuesday night for a vital Ebac Northern League Division 2 match-up.
The hosts, Grangetown Boys Club looking both for revenge and a win to help them move away from the lower reaches of the Division 2 table. They currently sit 19th in the League with 22 points from 28 games played.
They have won 5 drawn 7 and lost 16 of those games scoring 32 goals and conceding 61. Their top scorer was Joe Dixon but he has moved on to pastures new at Northallerton Town.
Their current form shows that they've won one drawn two and lost three of their last six League games. Their last two games being away defeats at Redcar Town 2 - 1 and last Saturday 5 - 1 at Chester-le-Street Town.
It's easy to see why they are desperately seeing a win and three points on Tuesday. A win would also give them that modicum of revenge as they lost the reverse fixture at The Riverside 6 - 2 back on August 6th last year.
Park View would gladly take a repeat of that August result but equally would no doubt settle for a 1 - 0 score line in their favour to get three points that would take them back into the play-off positions.
Their 1 - 0 loss at Ryton & Crawcrook Albion last Saturday being the first time they'd dropped league points in their last eight games bringing an end to their fantastic seven-match winning run.
That defeat meant they dropped to 7th in the table having 53 points from 27 games played. They've won 16 drawn 5 and lost 6 scoring 44 goals and only conceding 20. That defensive record being the best in the league by 6 goals.
Top scorers Stephen Siyanbola who has 9 and Charlie Loveday who has 7 both scored in the corresponding fixture last season that ended in a 2 - 1 win for Park View who were still under the guise of Chester-le-Street United at the time.
Park View will be hoping that both players can add to their tallies on Tuesday night on the road and get them back to winning ways quickly. Kick-Off at The B & W Lifting Stadium is at 7:30pm.
