Park View AFC are on the road again with their 5th away trip of the season from their first six games as they travel down the A19 to take on FC Hartlepool at Grayfields Enclosure.
PV travel full of confidence after Saturday's 2 - 0 win at Tow Law Town saw them continue their fine unbeaten start to the season. A 4th win to go along with one draw sees them with 13 points from their opening five games.
The same tally as Division Two table-toppers Seaham Red Star who lead the table by virtue of a one goal better difference than Park View. Red Star also in action on Wednesday with a trip to Esh Winning.
Standing in the way of PV retaining that unbeaten record are a FC Hartlepool side that currently sit in 14th place in the table. They have two wins one draw and two losses from their games so far giving them seven points so far.
They have scored seven goals with ex-Middlesbrough Academy striker Fin O'Gorman who had a loan spell with Chester-le-Street United leading the way with three of their tally.
Last season's top scorer Mikey McGhee is also off the mark and along with O'Gorman look the biggest dangers to Park View although FC do have some very solid players and are always a threat from all over the park.
It should be noted that both their wins this season have been impressive home victories. 3 - 1 against Ryton & Crawcrook Albion and 4 - 0 v Esh Winning. Clearly they enjoy playing in front of their own fans on their own turf.
They look a very solid outfit indeed and last Saturday got a very creditable 0 - 0 draw at high-flying high-scoring Alnwick Town to show that toughness. It's going to be a tight game and one that will fully test Park View's unbeaten start.
