Match Preview - Ebac Northern League Division 2 - Wednesday 16th September 2026 - Grangetown Boys Club (H) - Kick-Off 19:30pm

Another Wednesday night and another Home League Game for 8th placed Park View as they host Grangetown Boys Club who currently sit 17th in the Division 2 table.

Grangetown or 'Boysie' as they are sometimes called have played 11 games so far in the league and have 2 wins 1 draw and 8 defeats giving them 7 points. They have scored 12 times and conceded 24 with Kieran Stares their top scorer on 3.

Their last game was last Friday night when they travelled to Yorkshire to take on Pickering Town in the FA Vase and went down to a narrow 3 - 2 defeat in a thrilling tie.

They though will look to put that result behind them and get back to concentrating on their league form where they would love to take all three points to move away from the bottom end of the table.

For Park View it's a chance to record back to back home league wins after last Saturday's hard fought 2 - 1 win over Seaham Red Star took them into 8th place and a move in the right direction.

A win on Wednesday could even move them into the play-off places although they will have played more games than those around them. But manager's always prefer points than having games in hand.

Park View have played 12 won 5 drawn 3 and lost 4 to amass 18 points thus far. Goals wise they have scored 19 and conceded 18. Charlie Loveday's winner was his 7th league goal of the campaign and he leads his team in scoring.

Last season home advantage counted for everything in the clashes between the two sides. An early season Nathan Conroy hat-trick helped Park View to an emphatic 6 - 2 victory.

Boysie though overturned that result back on a cold night on Teeside in January. The home side's 3 - 0 win was their biggest ever win in the Northern League in their short history within the League structure.

It should be another game that will be fiercely contested and whilst Park View may be many a pundit's favourite there's no doubting that Grangetown have much ability in their ranks to take all three points as well.

Kick-off for another intruiging contest at The Riverside is at 7:30pm.
