Match Preview - Ebac Northern League Division 2 - Wednesday 12th August 2026 - Darlington Town (H) - Kick-Off : 19:30pm

It's 5th versus 9th at The Riverside on Wednesday night as Darlington Town are the visitors to Park View's home. Both teams with a game in hand on some of those around them and both looking for a win to take them higher.

A win for the visitors Darlington Town would seem them potentially rising to 2nd place in the table depending on other results. That comes as they've made a great start to the season with ten points from their first five games.

That consists of three wins one draw and one defeat at League leaders Billingham Town. Darlington have won their last two both at home 6 - 1 against AFC Newbiggin and 2 - 0 against Prudhoe YC Seniors.

They have scored ten goals and conceded three. Nathan Stephenson is a man to watch as he scored a remarkable five goals against Newbiggin and then netted another against Prudhoe to have six for the season.

Park View after winning their first two games of the season have faltered since and go into the game not having won any of their last three. A 2- 2 draw at home against Seaton Carew was followed by a 1 - 1 draw at Seaham Red Star.

Last Saturday they went down to their first defeat of the season at Newcastle University 1 - 0 which was also the first time they have failed to score this season. They have eight points made up of two wins two draws and that single loss.

Scoring wise they have netted nine times and conceded six. Charlie Loveday and Niall Armstrong leading their scoring on three goals each. A win for Park View would see them leap frog Darlington and put them in the top six.

Last season both teams womn on each other's grounds. Town 1 - 0 in October 25 at The Riverside and then Park View reversed that in a thrilling 3 - 2 win at Darlington back in March of this year.

So, all to play for with the stakes and rewards higg even at this early stage of the season. Kick-off at The Riverside is at 7:30pm for what looks like a potentially exciting game.
