Match Preview - Ebac Northern League Division 2 - Tuesday 18th August 2026 - Boldon C.A. (A) - Kick-Off 19:30pm

The road does not get any easier for the youngsters of Park View AFC as they return to league action on Tuesday night. They make the trip to high-flying Boldon C.A. who have made a superb start to the season.

C.A. go into the game with five wins and one draw in their six league games played so far. That currently gives them 16 points and second place in the table. They have scored 11 goals and conceded only 4 in their impressive early going.

They continued that form last Saturday with a 2 - 1 win against Longridge Town of the North West Counties Premier Division in the First Qualifying Round. A great result as their opponents were ranked higher than C.A. in the pyramid.

Robbie Gateshill has made a fine goal scoring start to the season with 4 in the league Callum Larmouth has 2 league goals plus he netted in the FA Vase at the weekend. But this is a strong solid side that can score from anywhere.

Park View meanwhile on Saturday crashed out of the FA Vase 3 - 0 at Knaresborough Town of the North East Counties Premier Division. A fifth consecutive game without a win.

Following their opening two game winning start Park View have now drawn 3 and lost 1 of their next four league games. It means they are sitting in tenth place in the table on 9 points having scored 10 times and conceded 7.

Charlie Loveday and Niall Armstrong leading their goal scoring tally with three goals each although Loveday has been out injured in the last couple of weeks.

Saturday's game at Knaresborough saw Park View with eight players under the age of 18 and no-one over the age of 20 in their match day squad. They actually finished the game with three 16-year-olds on the pitch.

As times it makes it tough going for such an inexperienced team but they are always committed to their togetherness and willing to battle for 90 minutes. They will have to do all that and more against a very strong looking Boldon side.

Boldon can go back to the top of the table with a win whilst Park View are looking to get a winning feeling going again. Another tough battle looks likely and the game kicks-off at 7:30pm.
