Match Preview - Ebac Northern League Division 2 - Saturday 1st August 2026 - Seaton Carew (H) - Kick-Off 15:00pm

It's a first ever visit to The Riverside in The Northern League for Durham coast outfit Seaton Carew on Saturday afternoon. Seaton Carew being NL newcomers this season after gaining promotion as Wearside League Champions in 2025/26.

The sides did meet in a pre-season friendly at Seaton last campaign and a hard-fought tight game ended in a 0 - 0 on a very convivial evening.

Seaton Carew have played two League games thus far. Their opening day fixture at home saw them lose to AFC Newbiggin 3 - 0. But they bouned back on Thursday night with a very good 2 - 0 away win at Newcastle University.

Their goal scorers on Thursday were Craig Linsel who had a prolific NL campaign with Sunderland West End back in 2024/25 and is a proven NL striker and Robbie Lithgo got their second.

They have retained a large core of last season's Wearside League Championship side some of which had NL experience and in the run-up to the season they have added some further players with NL experience. They look a solid outfit.

Park View have had a great start to their campaign. Following up last Saturday's 2 - 0 win at Alnwick Town where Nathan Conroy and Niall Armstrong bagged the goals with an entertaining 4 - 2 midweek home win over Billingham Synthonia.

Armstrong scored again whilst Charlie Loveday got off the mark for the season with a brace and new Club Captain Ben Gallagher was also on target.

Seaton Carew's win at Newcastle University will have settled tneir 'newbie' nerves and given them real confidence going into this game. For Park View it's about continuing to work hard and be committed as they look to go 3-for-3.

Kick-off for what should be a really entertaining and close game at The Riverside is at 3:00pm.
