It's 5th v 6th in an attractive looking fixture where one of the best defences, Park View who have only conceded 10 league goals and are in the play-off positions play Alnwick Town one of the Division's top scorers with 30 goals.

Alnwick have started their second season back in The Northern League well and a win on Saturday would take them from 6th place and above Park View ousting their hosts from the play-off positions.

Alnwick have with 5 wins 5 draws and 3 losses in their 13 games scoring those 30 goals and conceding 18 to give them 20 points.

Their dangerman is clearly striker Euan Potts who has 13 league goals to his credit and is supported by Jamie Clark who has 4. Both scored in a great 4 – 2 away win at Prudhoe YC Seniors in midweek which followed two draws a 2 – 2 at Esh Winning and then a 1 – 1 home draw against Boldon CA.

Park View are two points ahead of their visitor’s today and have played one game less although the last two results have been somewhat of a disappointment.

PV's record currently is won 6 drawn 4 and lost 2. They have scored 19 goals and conceded the 10 mentioned previously and have 22 points. Their top scorer is currently Nathan Conroy with 6.

Another clean sheet for Park View last weekend in the 0 – 0 draw with Esh Winning meant it was 580 minutes without conceding a goal.

A great effort but perhaps more significantly they couldn’t prise open the now bottom of the table’s defence in what felt like two points lost rather than one gained.

On Wednesday there was further disappointment in the Durham Challenge Cup Preliminary Round tie at The Riverside against Northern Alliance Premier Division side Gateshead Rutherford which ended in a 4 – 3 penalty shootout defeat after a 1 – 1 draw in 90 minutes.

So, both sides will be looking for a win and all three points. Park View to maintain their play-off position whilst an Alnwick win would see them leap-frog the home side and move into the play-off positions.

It should be a cracker of a fixture and the action gets underway at The Riverside at 3:00pm.
